YoYo and friends
bear baby wallhanging

Winter in the mountains is a great time for making soup, reading a good book, eating chocolate, and of course doll making!!! I have a few on the go, all demanding attention as always.  YoYo, Zig and Chortle are finished. What fun they were to design and who knows how there came to be three of them from a single idea of a yo-yo style clown.  But then that's the design process I guess. Each creation has a life of its own. They make a great mobile to hang too.

More wooden buttons are now available and I'm working on some projects using them. A welcome to baby little wall hanging is a great gift for that special little newcomer. It includes our new bear button which can be coloured using those gorgeous Prismacolor pencils. The stitchery starter pack of pencils is really useful for this kind of thing. This wall hanging also has a separate "flatling" bear made using double fusible Stitch n Shape. This is what I have also used to make the hands on Yo Yo and his friends, and also some of the leaves on Maple and the Fall of Leaves wall decoration. It's so easy to use and the possibilities are endless. I am working on a Raggy "flatling" for a wall hanging design which will be available soon, and there is a Raggy button. Check out the daffodil too.

It was such a busy craft fair recently in Sydney and it was great to see so many of you there. What fun that some of you travelled such a distance to come. I am sure there were many girls' weekends happening all around that show. It's a great excuse to run away from home for a few days and play! Counting down now to Melbourne Quilt & Craft Fair. Come by and say hello and be inspired. I take as many of my ever growing doll family to the shows as will fit, and it's a great way to choose your next project. I am also very excited that we're coming back to Canberra in August after a few years break. Maybe you Canberra girls could turn on a little snow for us?

Our first 2 laminated tutorial sheets are ready. These are the Face Stamp Tutorial and how to draw a Clown Face. They are in A5 format, perfect for collecting in a folder as ready reference. There will be more!!!

Back to the doll making, and maybe just a little chocolate...hot chocolate perhaps.
