I have designed this raggy for my very special little friend Meranda. She has Meranda’s large deep brown eyes, beautiful curly black hair and gently pointed chin. The face is hand drawn and has a little needlesculpting to give dimension and accentuate those dimples. She has sewn joints at the elbows and knees, and stitched fingers. She is wearing her puffed sleeve and broderie lace trimmed party dress, with gathered skirt, ribbon sash and bias edging and of course has gathered bloomers underneath. She has on her best patent shiny shoes and lace trimmed socks. Meranda’s Doll is a 53cm (21in) cloth raggy.
The pattern for Meranda's Doll is $15.00 and includes detailed instructions and clear diagrams to complete the doll and her clothing. A kit is also available for $62 and includes the pattern, fabrics, hair yarn, sash ribbon, lace, bias binding, black patent shoes, and white socks. Stuffing is not included. A mini kit is also available for $24.50 and includes the pattern, skin fabric and hair yarn. Her printed face is available on tea dyed homespun to match the kit, or natural quilter's muslin for $13.50. Alternatively a tea dye printed face and enough body fabric ( “skin” ) to match is also available for $16.00.
